A tradition of volunteering
Hospice of the Valley was founded in 1977 by a group of like-minded volunteers who wanted to serve the community. Today, our volunteer corps is 2,700 strong agency wide. Continue that tradition of volunteering. If you are looking for a worthwhile endeavor to donate your time and talents, the White Dove Thrift Shoppe is looking for you!
We are always in need of volunteers to help sort and sell donated items. After an orientation, new volunteers can choose their preferred White Dove location. A commitment of one four-hour shift per week is requested.
Another avenue for volunteers with an organizational streak is our “Wrap Pack,” a team that goes to people’s homes—regardless of whether the person was an HOV patient—to wrap and pack items to transport to the White Dove.
